CEMVIN technical fibre-cement boards and their use
CEMVIN is the only traditional and purely Czech manufacturer of technical fibre-cement boards. These achieve excellent properties due to their unique technology and composition – they are made of a mixture of cement, limestone, pulp, and PVA fibre in precise proportions. The products are subject to strict internal controls as well as international standards, and they have a number of uses in various areas of construction.
Properties of boards
The boards have a unique set of excellent properties thanks to which they can be used in a number of different ways, even in extreme conditions.
· Reaction to fire class A1
· Acoustic effectiveness
· Thermal storage
· Water resistance
· Frost resistance
· Electric arc resistance
· Hygiene safety
· Weather resistance
· High mechanical resistance
· Resistance to biotic agents
· Universal surface

Cable tray infills
CEMVIN CABLE cable tray infills are designed for the safe storage of high and low voltage cables in industry, power plants, city collectors, or underground facilities – even in exposed outdoor or underground wet areas. They serve as a safety feature to prevent damage in the case of a short circuit of high voltage cabling or an explosion and the spread of fire and heat to the surroundings. The thickness of the boards is determined by the type of cables and the gaps between the individual supports of the cable tray structure.
Designers especially appreciate the resistance of the boards to electric arcing (meeting the requirements of ČSN 332000-5-52 ed. 2), their fire reaction class A1 (guarantees not only non-combustibility but also protection of the structure against the spread of fire), water resistance (long-term resistance to damp and does not change its properties even when flooded), frost resistance and weather resistance (necessary for exterior structures), resistance to biotic agents (for use in extreme conditions), and, last but not least, as a universal surface (ready for further modifications).
Lost formwork for bridges
CEMVIN BRIDGE technical fibre-cement boards bring significant time and labour savings in the construction of bridges and other technologically demanding and heavy-duty structures. They replace the classic formwork that needs to be installed and then dismantled after the concrete has hardened – CEMVIN BRIDGE instead becomes a functional part of the building structure with the appearance of exposed concrete. These boards can be used as lost formwork on most substructures in combination with concrete, steel, and wooden beams. The thickness of the boards is determined by the span between the beams and the height of the concrete applied to the lost formwork.
Designers especially appreciate the water resistance of the boards for this application (they do not change their properties when pouring concrete or subsequently due to the weather), their high load capacity (formwork must support the weight of the concrete and all the working technologies), the high mechanical resistance (even at lower thicknesses they are resistant to tensile and bending loads and thus contribute to reducing the weight of structures without losing strength), their frost resistance (necessary for exterior constructions, transport bridges additionally appreciate resistance to chemical defrosting agents), and, last but not least, the fire reaction class A1 (guarantees not only non-combustibility, but also protection of the structure against the spread of fire).
Lost formwork for building construction
CEMVIN FORM technical fibre-cement boards bring significant time and labour savings to various types of building constructions, including residential buildings as well as technologically demanding structures such as parking structures or busy commercial spaces. They replace the conventional formwork that needs to be installed and dismantled after the concrete has hardened – CEMVIN FORM instead becomes a functional part of the building structure with the appearance of exposed concrete. Immediately after curing, they are ready for surface treatment applications – pointing, plastering, overlaying with an insulating layer, coatings...
Designers especially appreciate the water resistance of the boards (they do not change their properties when pouring concrete or subsequently under conditions of long-term damp), their weather resistance (allows use on external walls without fear of losing functionality), the high mechanical resistance (even at lower thicknesses, they are resistant to tensile and bending loads and thus contribute to reducing the weight of structures without losing strength), their frost resistance (necessary for external walls), hygienic safety (guaranteeing their safe use for the construction of residential and commercial premises) and, last but not least, their safety thanks to the fire reaction class A1 (guaranteeing not only non-combustibility, but also protection of the structure against the spread of fire).
Dry construction
CEMVIN FLOOR
CEMVIN FLOOR technical fibre-cement boards significantly speed up the construction of floors in wooden and modular buildings, and the reconstruction of buildings with brick and wooden structures. With quick and dry installation, these boards easily form a sturdy, immediately walkable floor structure that resists damp and water long-term, and are therefore highly suitable for bathrooms. In addition, besides offering excellent sound insulation, they have great thermal accumulation capabilities, which ensures efficient heat transfer from underfloor heating. To further improve these acoustic and thermal properties, it is optimal to install insulation under the boards.
CEMVIN WALL
CEMVIN WALL technical fibre-cement boards are designed for the quick and easy dry construction of walls for brick houses and wooden buildings. They are resistant to damp, water, and biotic agents and therefore suitable for exposed areas such as corridors, cellars, attics, or bathrooms. Unlike with plasterboard, replacing them is not necessary even in the event of flooding. At the same time, thanks to its great mechanical resistance, it serves to reinforce assembled walls and as high-quality weathering.
Designers especially appreciate the high acoustic effectiveness of the boards (due to their flat mass they contribute to an increase in sound insulation), their thermal storage (allows for the rapid heating of buildings and the possibility of built-in heating), water resistance (they resist damp for a long time, even when flooded they do not need to be replaced), hygienic safety (guaranteeing safe use also for the construction of residential and commercial premises), resistance to biotic agents (important for application in damp spaces), high mechanical resistance (even at lower thicknesses they are resistant to tensile and bending loads and thus contribute to reducing the weight of structures without losing strength) and, last but not least, their safety thanks to the fire reaction class A1 (guaranteeing not only non-combustibility, but also protection of the structure against the spread of fire).
We are also working on the development of load-bearing ceiling panels and ceiling tiles.
Load-bearing structure for stairs
The CEMVIN STEP system significantly speeds up the construction of a staircase – installation is dry, can be done in a single day, and the stairs are immediately walkable. It is a highly flexible solution for any family house interior, whether for construction or renovation. Compared to a conventional concrete staircase, it offers significant weight reduction (about 60%) and material savings of up to 70% (formwork, concrete steel, and concrete). The stairs are intended for subsequent cladding – CEMVIN STEP is fully compatible with TOPSTEP cladding system.
